"Harley" is a 1995 spotted Tennessee Walker stallion owned by Nancy Livengood. Always the perfect gentleman, Harley has earned his stripes (spots?) by being named the 2006 National Champion Tennessee Walker halter stallion.

Merle
"Merle" is a 2006 chestnut Tennessee Walker gelding who is enjoyed by everyone at CHHR. He craves attention and gets lots of laughs from his hi-jinks. Today Merle lunged himself around the circle pen, carrying the buggy whip the entire time. He is owned by Nancy Livengood's niece.

Velvet
"Velvet" is a coal black 2002 Tennessee Walker mare owned by Luke Moran. She was shown as a youngster, but then left in a pasture for a number of years. Luke has no desire to show, only to have a good riding horse. He has begun working with Velvet and should be in the saddle sometime later this year.

Artful Face
"Simon," a 2009 bay roan stallion by Face It Im Good and out of Piece of Art (Artful Move x TB mare), is owned by Kay Prince of Boerne, TX. She intends to work with Simon in 2010, taking him to shows to familiarize him with the scene. In the future she plans to show him in HUS classes. We can't wait to see this big guy going down the rail in English classes. Not often do you see a roan English horse!

Skye With Diamonds
"Skye" is a grey 2002 warmblood mare (half Holsteiner/half Hanavarian). She stands 16-3 and is quite imposing! Owner Barb Taylor has been riding Skye for over a year, but only purchased her about six months ago. Barb and Skye met in Minnesota, and both have relocated here in Texas! Barb rides dressage and met her goal to ride Skye in competition on her 50th birthday earlier this year.

ZiZi
"ZiZi" is a 1999 Percheron/Quarter Horse cross owned by Peggy Kraus of Bandera. The big black mare was recently used in the Triple H Equitherapy Program in Pipe Creek, but Peggy moved her here to CHHR so that she can ride with her husband Kurt.

TA Rodansk++
"Rocky" is a 1993 purebred grey Arabian gelding owned by Sherry Rosser-Carroll of Grey Forest. Shown at top level Arabian competitions all his life, Rocky is ready to enjoy the laid-back lifestyle of CHHR. Sherry and her daughter Kyle Shroyer still show Rocky at Arabian shows, but Sherry is also joining us on the ACTHA trail rides with him.

JA Hot Request
"Jasper" is a 1999 buckskin tobiano half-Arabian gelding owned by Sherry Rosser-Carroll of Grey Forest. After a couple of hard years of recovery from an episode of EPM, Jasper is mended and has resumed his show career. Sherry is also riding Jasper on trail rides and has begun competing in ACTHA rides with him.

Coles Dutch Bar
"Dutch" is a 2005 AQHA sorrel gelding who is totally foundation bred. He's going to be a big boy when he finally finishes growing, since he's a stretchy 15-3 right now! He's owned by Kurt Kraus of Bandera.

Face It Im Chilly
"Chilly" is a 2006 brown gelding by Face It Im Good. He is TJ Corgill's "ranch horse." She competes on him in ACTHA (American Competitive Trail Horse Association) trail rides, and intends to have him in AQHA reining and working cow horse classes in 2010. Chilly is double-registered--with AQHA and the NFQHA, where he is rated 82% foundation.

Paddy O Pep
"Hansum" is a 2005 bay gelding who was purchased by Kay Prince of Boerne sight unseen because of his great bloodlines. He was shipped down from Oklahoma as a three-year-old stallion where he grew up totally on the range. Out of a "cowy" bred mare, Hansum is a grandson of Paddys Irish Whiskey. Kay is currently entering competitive trail rides on him and has begun competing in ranch versatility classes.

"Misty," who was born in 1981 but doesn't look her age, is owned by Sharon Brewster of San Antonio. Sharon hardly misses a day without seeing this sweetheart of a mare. Misty is by well-known Arabian stallion Cass Olé (of The Black Stallion movie fame), and out of a Morgan mare.

Gotta Luv Em
"Sherman" is a 1998 chestnut gelding by local San Antonio area celebrity stallion Royal Blueberry. He is an all around horse, qualifying for the AQHA World Show in reining and winning multiple buckles at open and AQHA shows. He is now owned by Beth Bennett of San Antonio. She competes in the ACTHA (American Competitive Trail Horse Association) rides, and has shown Sherman in halter and trail classes at area shows.

Miss Zan Skip Dry
“Skippy” is a 1992 AQHA mare owned by Dr. Paul Deschner of San Antonio. As a junior horse Skippy had a successful show career in Colorado, then was retired to the broodmare band for a few years before returning to the show pen. Paul showed her in AQHA amateur reining before breeding her to reknown reiner Conquistador Whiz for a 2003 foal. One of Skippy’s earlier foals placed sixth in the prestigious NRHA Futurity. Paul 's youngest daughter Rachel may be ready to show Skippy in novice youth reining soon.
