Paddy O Pep
"Hansum" is a 2005 bay gelding who was purchased by Kay Prince of Boerne sight unseen because of his great bloodlines. He was shipped down from Oklahoma as a three-year-old stallion where he grew up totally on the range. Out of a "cowy" bred mare, Hansum is a grandson of Paddys Irish Whiskey. Kay is currently entering competitive trail rides on him and has begun competing in ranch versatility classes.

Hansum has become very consistent in his placings at the ACTHA rides. This photo was taken at the Texas World Record Attempt CTC held in Bandera TX in mid-June 2010.

Kay hopes Hansum will become her grandson Hunter's mount in the coming years.
Kay puts on/takes off rain slicker aboard Hansum during an ACTHA competition.
Hansum has a bright copper bay color. Although he wasn't much to look at when he came off the plains of Oklahoma, he's turned into a handsome guy!
Kay now has Hansum home at CHHR and rides almost daily. They are becoming adept at climbing the steepest hills, and have started doing more arena work, such as flying lead changes.
Hansum seems to be enjoying being a "barn horse" rather than living out on the plains of Oklahoma, especially as the weather gets colder.
