Gotta Luv Em "Sherman" is a 1998 chestnut gelding by local San Antonio area celebrity stallion Royal Blueberry. He is an all around horse, qualifying for the AQHA World Show in reining and winning multiple buckles at open and AQHA shows. He is now owned by Beth Bennett of San Antonio. She competes in the ACTHA (American Competitive Trail Horse Association) rides, and has shown Sherman in halter and trail classes at area shows.
Beth and Sherman successfully negotiate the trail course in competition. Beth and Sherman enjoy a "swim" in a nearby creek. One day at trainer Don Laughery's place Beth and Sherman worked some cows. In this photo Sherm tries to "eat" the cow. Beth says she just "went along for the ride" as Sherman pushed the steer around the arena, doing flying lead changes and beautiful roll backs. We still like to remind everyone that it was from Sherman's natural heart shaped "birth mark" that we got CHHR's name of "Happy Heart." Sherm is handsome and he knows it! Back before Sherman became a gelding, he sired several nice foals, one of which is Crazylilthingcaldluv "LuvBug" owned by Juanea Rucker of Bandera. LuvBug, now a two year old, is being shown by Juanea in a variety of events . . . hopefully to excel in reining like her dad, Sherman. With the new rules in AQHA, we're all trying to get owner Beth Bennett to show Sherman in the Performance Halter class.  We think he could kick some serious  . . .  Photo by Shirley Trumbo
