First Fall Ride
After a hellish summer, September has actually felt somewhat like fall here in the Texas Hill Country. We got a little rain, things greened up, and the temperature went down into the 80s. To celebrate, Beth Bennett on Sherman, Kay Prince on Hansum, and TJ Corgill on Chilly took a great Saturday ride at the Hill Country Natural Area State Park in Bandera, TX.

Beth (on Sherman) and Kay (on Hansum) pose in one of the higher areas of the park.
Beth and TJ say that Kay has an unfair advantage. Hansum lived virtually as a wild horse out in 300 acres until he was three years old. He's very sure footed in the rocks.
Some of the trail was challenging, with rock stairs for the horses to negotiate.
Beth and Kay, riding Sherman and Hansum, wade through a little water in a creek bed.
It's green again! Hopefully the drought is breaking, and we can have lots more gorgeous fall rides this year.
